I'm trying to use the hdmi-container (https://hub.docker.com/r/hilschernetpi/n...sktop-hdmi) together with an touchscreen. The touchscreen unfortunately has only a DVI or VGA port. The touchscreen was plugged in during the container deployment, but there isn't any signal on the screen.
On multiple Raspberry Pi forums and tutorials I've seen some workarounds using the config.txt to add certain settings. Can this be done on a netPi? How else is it possible to use a display without a HDMI port (on a different screen with HDMI this was no issue)?
netPI has a RTC so that I suppose Linux (host OS) always has accurate date & time from RTC.
That means I don't have to set date & time to Linux at the bootup of netPI.
Then, I would like to know how to get/set current date & time from/to RTC by my own container application, please.
- I should open Control panel of Web GUI if I need to set date & time, right?
- I can just use 'hwclock' command from a guest OS (a container) to get current date & time, right?
- I don't have to access RTC directly via I2C interface, right?
I am not familiar with C/Python/,,, so I may be asking an incomprehensible question.
Thank you very much for checking my understandings above.
Best regards,

Dear Armin,
Does a company has to register for EPL (End Product Listing, that is, final product registration) when using Bluetooth with netPI (in order to sell Bluetooth devices)?
I think that is yes so that could you tell me the QDID (Qualified Design ID) and Product Type for registering netPI as a Bluetooth product? When registering the EPL, I will need the QDID information and the Product Type of the Bluetooth module.
Thank you very much for your support. Best regards,

Dear Armin,
How can I set up my own netPI environment on a brand new netPI in the shortest time?
Currently, I do the following steps.
If possible, I want to find more easy and quick procedure.
1. Executing a netPI recovery with a USB stick. (the system software version when validating my own application is applied.)
2. Setting up a new password, date&time and so on.
3. Import my own container images which are backed up before.
4. Deploy container images. Before deploying, some parameter settings (Privileged mode=on, drivers' designations,,,) should be done manually.
Thank you very much for your information.

Dear Armin,
I installed netpi-netx-ethernet-lan (network=bridge mode) to operate the fieldbus RJ45 ports as standard LAN interface.
There are 2 MAC addresses for Fieldbus are indicated on both of its packing box and the name plate (sticker) on netPI.
But, I can only detect 1 MAC address from an external PC.
The device '/dev/spidev0.0' is added when deploying the container.
But, should 2 device drivers be added for 2 MAC addresses?
That's why only 1 MAC address is detected...
My questions are:
- Does the container 'netpi-netx-ethernet-lan' enable 2 ports of Fieldbus RJ45s to standard LAN interface? - Is there any measures to confirm 2 MAC addresses from an external PC?
Thank you very much for your support.

Dear Armin,
I got information that Docker is not enabled (grayed-out) on the edge gateway manager (Web GUI) even the following settings were done.
In Services menu in Control panel: - Operating status = Running - Autostart = enabled is selected
A monitor is connected to netPI to get the attached log status. Would you please refer to the attached file? If you find anything wrong, it would be helpful for me.
Should I restore the netPI recover image?
Thank you very much for your support. Best regards,

Dear Armin,
In section 9.3, the netPI user manual, the followings are described.
netpi-raspbian
Raspbian operating system
Raspbian (jessy)
I know jessy is already updated to another.
So, would you please let me know the Raspbian OS version installed in the latest hilschernetpi/netpi-raspbian?
It is not shown at https://hub.docker.com/r/hilschernetpi/netpi-raspbian.
Thank you very much for your information.

Dear Armin,
Could you please tell me the manufacturer name and model number of the 3-pin power terminal block used in netPI?
Because I want to place its order separately to the manufacturer.
If you can receive its order (3-pin terminal block only), I will place an order to you.
Thank you very much for your advice.
Best regards,
I have two netPIs, and their writing speed seems to be different.
To measure speed on same condition, I re-installed firmware(V1.2.2.0) and deployed a container from the same image (hilscher/netpi-raspbian) on each netPI, however, the writing speed is different. One is about 13MB/s and the other is 18MB/s.
(I tested the writing speed with the command "dd if=/dev/zero of=benchmark bs=380k count=1k conv=fdatasync")
I want to know about this writing speed difference.
Could you answer the following questions?
Is there any ways to check SD card conditions? Since I am a beginner of Docker and Linux, I could not find the way to check SD card conditions. Is there any commands to check it? (I could not find proper way to use badblocks command)
Is this SD card endurance problem?
I suppose that this is SD card endurance problem. Could you tell me any other factors that may cause this difference?
In the case of SD card endurance problem, is there any way to deal with it?
If this is not the case of SD card endurance problem, is there any way to deal with it?
Could you tell me the write speed on factory-sealed condition? The faster netPI is not so new. I want to know if the faster one is already deteriorated or not.
It is hard to answer I guess, however, if you have any ideas about my questions, please let me know.
