The multicore option is a new option CODESYS offers since end of last year 2018. Since netPI is a multi core processor based hardware it is up to you which license/mode you choose. They work both.I tried indeed the multicore option last month and it worked well even if my simple application I tested didn’t even brought a single core to its limit. So I can’t imaging such a demanding PLC application that really needs 4 cores. But it is up to you.
