[SOLVED] Storing data on a (remote) database

before I can answer your question with yes or no, I would kindly ask you to tell us more about your project.

There are so many database models and solutions available https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Database_model and without any background information it is hard to answer if there are experiences we can share or not.
