Hello Flo, I am sorry to say that all firmwares for netPI we provide till today are resetting the unit back to factoy default.
With the next software release coming in November this will be the first release of software where all future software releases following will be delivered in two versions. One is the factory default image like we have it today and an upgrade version that keeps all settings like they are. But first we have to reach the status of the November release when we include the kernel 4.14 as Raspbian is already supporting it today.
