Wondering why it is importance to get to know the YOCTO version since YOCTO is just the build environment for the netPI OS. It is just is a set of scripts or recipe telling ... compile this source code .... compile that source code ... link everything together .... and finally put it together to a bootable Linux.
It is like you would ask an ordinary "C" programmer which compiler and version he is using for getting his source code compiled in to get out his final executeable. But in the view of the executable the way how to get it is of no importance.
