Initial Setup of Control Panel with admin + admin thorws error
#1
Hello,

I just connected the Pi to the network and gave it an ip-address and now I want to setup the rest like it is shown in the Youtube-Video "netPI - Getting Started with the netPI". Unfortunately, it always prints the error "Invalid username or password", when I use the default username and password shown in the video.
What can I do about it?

Best regards
Michi

Hi Michi,
if you say you gave netPI an IP address ... so how did you do that? Just by connecting the device thernet port to network a DHCP server is running or actively by setting a static IP address in the netPI's web UI manually?

Hi Armin,

We are using this NetPi in the company network, where devices are connected to a DHCP server and receive an ip-address by the admins.
By typing https://<ip-address> into the browser we can access the NetPi.

Ok and are you sure nobody else has ever used your netPI and changed the login? So was it a fresh device?

But anyways ... if the user name and password are not known any more then the only chance to return back to normal factory reset state is to use an USB stick and unzip one of the two images included in this file https://www.hilscher.com/fileadmin/big_d..._V1220.zip to the stick. The image depends on the type of netPI you have. A CORE device without industrial Ethernet or an RTE device with.

In the FAQ section here https://www.hilscher.com/applications/pr...ing/netpi/? you will find what else to do with the stick to update/recover software on netPI.

Thx
Armin
