OpenPLC
#1
Dear Armin,

The code for OpenPLC is posted on the following website.
Why not register with Hilscher's Docker Hub?

https://github.com/HilscherAutomation/netPI-openplc

By the way, I confirmed that I created its Docker image file on Raspberry Pi 3B and deployed the image to netPI.
Currently, OpenPLC is running properly on netPI.
Therefore, I was wondering why Hilscher hasn't posted the image to Dokcer Hub.
Then, I can directly use OpenPLC on netPI without Raspberry Pi.

Thank you very much for your information.
Best regards

Well as you can see in this post https://forum.hilscher.com/thread-626-post-2681.html coming from one of our netPI users is that offering a Docker image needs also maintenance. You have to be always after the image and the build process to go with the development progress of the application provided.

At a certain time 2019 I decided not to maintain all the Docker images any more that I have ever started. So I removed those where I have too less in-deep knowledge about from the Docker repository and kept just the source code online on github. One of these projects was OpenPLC project.

Other projects whereas have more priority like Node-RED since it contains netX technology or the Ethernet LAN container, netX programmin example or basic Raspbian OS. All software that are really needed for netPI. And for all these are images I have knowledge and can contribute to them. But not OpenPLC. Instead I set the focus to CODESYS soft PLC container which I am using for 20 years and have a good knowledge about it.

Thx
