A.) First of all the certificates are hardware related only and not software related. So it doesn't matter which software is running on the devices.
B.) The devices in the two packages referenced in this thread come without any label ... cause we don't know customers wishes. So customer is responsible for labeling after receiving the units himself.
C.) And yes the certifications remain valid, as long as the customer lists at least the original name of the devices on his customer label. Of course he can add other names or numbers too on the label for his reference.
D.) Today valid names are NIOT-E-NPI3-EN for netPI CORE 3 and NIOT-E-NPI3-51-EN-RE for netPI RTE 3
E.) With CE paperwork there is anyway no problem since this is a self-declaration and customer can do it by himself.
F.) FCC and UL accreditations are registered to the names refererenced under D.). If customer wants to have his own name for his product additional paperwork is needed. He needs our confirmation for the laboratories first that his unit is the same as the ones already registered and is just using a different software. Then he has to get in touch with FCC or UL laboratories and get his own device registered which results in costs.
