Software difference netIOT Connect vs netFIELD Connect - HeinzeS - August-11th-2021
Hi Armin,
at our development Team we procured several netPi devices. So we currently have a bunch of:
NIOT-E-TPI51-EN-RE
as well as
NIOT-E-TPI51-EN-RE/NFLD
The netfield devices were easily updated to the current v2.2.0.0 OS version of netFIELD OS and are behaving as expected. The netIOT Connect devices are running v1.2.0.0 netPI OS and currently have some problem running newer versions of grafana dockers (>7.5.4), which are running fine on their netFIELD OS "brothers". We suspect the restricted docker engine 18.X to cause those problems. Can you elaborate the situation?

There is no problem upgrading "netIOT Connect" of software gen 1.x devices with the latest netFIELD OS 2.2.
The link for the *.zip file that you can unzip and put on an USB stick for upgrading them is this one here https://kb.hilscher.com/x/iZ5TC
The software V1.2.0.0 is no longer maintained.

Thanks, we flashed a netIOT with the netFIELD OS 2.2.0.0, which now works as expected.
