compatibility btw RPi 3B and netPI regarding to microSD card - tad - September-30th-2020
Dear Armin,
I would like to confirm whether my recognition is correct or not, please.
There is a micro SD card which is running on a raspberry pi 3B.
This software environment can be also launched on netPI when this micro SD card is inserted into netPI.
Is that correct?
As far as I investigated, the above is correct.
- I prepare a 32GB micro SD card with FAT32 format.
- Raspbian and Docker are installed on the SD card on RPi 3B+.
- I take out the SD card from RPi 3B+ and insert it to netPI.
- Raspbian and Docker are correctly running on netPI.

Well I know the Raspbian OS automatically detects which Raspberry Pi is running during boot sequence. So it recognizes whether it is Raspberry Pi 3B or Raspberry Pi 3B+ or Raspberry Pi 4.
But since I am not the developer of Raspbian OS I can tell if this always works 100% or if it is just luck. Due to this point Hilscher can only guarantee that an SD card used on a commercial Raspberry Pi3B will work 100% on netPI. With other Raspberry Pis like Pi3B+ and Pi4 Hilscher cannot guarantee.

Yes there is no audio port. But in my document there is no audio port listed. My document just highlights those parts that are compatible.
