I've got two new netPIs.
One is working flawless and the other one does not wan't to work.

When I boot the netPI, he does not send any DHCP discover telegram. (checked on the DHCP server and with Wireshark. the netPI does not send anything)
NS, SYS and POW LEDs are on, rest is constant off. (ACT does not light up some times like on the other netPI)
Even the LEDs of the Ethernet are off, even if the switch indicates a 100Mbit connection.

So I tried to do a FW update with the USB stick. (witch worked with the other netPI)

ACT LED is blinking, the Ethernet LED is on. So the bootloader seems to be alive. But even after 2 hours, the ACT LED is still blinking and the netPI does not work better.

Is there something else that I can try? Or do I really have a broken module?

My netPI did not start an update with the recovery system Image provided on the homepage. I used the way of Resetting to factory default via USB-Stick (as described FAT32) and tried different USB 3.0 and 3.1 devices.
While powering on I had a monitor connected to get more information, but the only thing I can see is a normal boot. In the beginning of the boot sequence, it shows that no storage device is detected (see attechment).

Does the USB-Stick needs to be recognized in this stage as a storage device? What is a possible way for me to update my system image?

The example for Profinet defines 10 Byte for input and 4 Byte for output. As I understand this can be increased by editing the electronic data sheets for profinet. What are the actual limits of the card on the NetPi? For my use case I will need at least 256 Bytes input/output. Is this possible?

I'm just starting to work with the netPI RTE. I currently don't have any hardware to work with, but it is on order.
Nevertheless I have a question regarding the two extra Ethernet Ports of the netPI RTE.
Is it possible to connect a Modbus TCP slave via one of this ports?
The documentation only quotes that it supported "ROFINET, EtherNet/IP and more"
I just want to make sure that "more" also includes Modbus TCP.
The netX should be able to support Modbus TCP.

I have a netPI RTE3 and the following question: Is it possible that the EtherCAT slave (net51) remains in OP without running an application in the Docker?
I want to configure the net51 with a slave description once, and it should be able to enter OP mode, without any application running in Docker. I am using the example application provided here: "netPI-netx-programming-examples" and as soon as I stop the "ECS_simpleConfig" application, the net51 goes in Safe-Op / Error mode.
Using the netHAT, that is possible, and the slave remains in OP. I know that the slave description by the RTE3 is changeable (that is not the case with the netHAT), but if I don't change its description, the slave should remain in OP. Is that possible?

Just unpacked new NIOT-E-NPI3-51-EN-RE.

While booting kernel i get stuck on "Started Update UTMP about System Runlevel Changes" all the time.

I done the last recovery release, but still the same place and the same result, Kernel booting stops.

I got no ideas anymore, is there any possibility to install new OS or is there some distr with OS Image ?

When i log in on my the netpi 3 rte the edge gateway manager started but i could not select Docker Management, because it was greyed out. What went wrong?
