Connect to PLC without knowing IP
Posted by: paubau - August-21st-2018, 01:36 PM - Forum: Software - Replies (12)

Hello, i'm totally new with this thing.
Got my netPI and a s7-1500 and i'm wondering if there's a way to connect to the S7 without knowing/configuring the accessible ip adress.
I'm working on it with node-red and it works fine, but what to do if i want to get data from multiple PLC's in different networks ?
Not at once but one after the other?

greets,
paul

[INFO] netPI meets TOP 6 IoT Cloud Platforms
Posted by: Armin@netPI - August-21st-2018, 06:54 AM - Forum: News - Replies (4)

We have been testing six IoT Cloud platforms from Amazon, Microsoft, Google, IBM, SAP and Alibaba to check how easy it is to exchange data with netPI and them.

The result was surprising: all six offer a free trial account to everybody for extensive tests and all six offer SDKs of different types and source code on github with documentation how to proceed to push/pull data to/from devices like netPI to the "Internet of Things" part of the Clouds in minutes.

Since it is still a little bit time consuming searching in different sources to proceed we are offering to you now six ready-to-use example containers, one for each platform, showing how to exchange data with these platforms.

For Amazon AWS try https://hub.docker.com/r/hilschernetpi/n...ded-c-sdk/
For Google Cloud try https://hub.docker.com/r/hilschernetpi/n...dk-python/
For Microsoft Azure try https://hub.docker.com/r/hilschernetpi/n...e-iot-hub/
For IBM Cloud try https://hub.docker.com/r/hilschernetpi/n...ot-nodejs/
For SAP Cloud try https://hub.docker.com/r/hilschernetpi/n...rm-iot-sk/
For Alibaba Aliyun try https://hub.docker.com/r/hilschernetpi/n...dk-python/

Thx
Armin

  Customising landing page
Posted by: rehaas - August-16th-2018, 07:27 AM - Forum: Software - Replies (3)

Hello,
we are developing a web application to control a special machine device via modbus on the netpi.
Our customer likes to see it's own Web Interface when he calls the netpi's ip in the browser.
Is there a possibility to change the default port of the netPi landing page or redirect the landing page to our
customers web page exposed by an application running in a docker container.
Another possibility would be a special customer tile on the landing page of the netPI.

Best regards
Reinhold

  Pull image does not work
Posted by: Jonas.Sellmann@outlook.de - July-31st-2018, 01:31 PM - Forum: Software - Replies (3)

Hello,

we have two netPIs here and I configured both of them with the new recovery software V1.1.3.0 RC3 Hotfix. On the first netPI pulling images and creating container was no problem. The second netPI can't find any images, although I use the same network, which I used for the first netPI.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance,

Jonas

"node-red with NIOT-E-NPIX-EVA GPIO module" Docker image
Posted by: Eyad.Almolki - July-30th-2018, 03:37 PM - Forum: Software - Replies (1)

Hi,

I would like to know if docker container for node-red GPIO modules is available for NIOT-E-NPIX-EVA ?
I tried to search and I found for other extensions but not for NIOT-E-NPIX-EVA.
Thanks in advance.

  Resart/Access NetPi from Remote
Posted by: Jonas.Sellmann@outlook.de - July-30th-2018, 07:13 AM - Forum: Software - Replies (11)

Hello,

for a few days, I'm not able to access the website of the NetPi. The only output is: "502 Bad Gateway".
Is there an option for remote access?
The two container are still running.

Thanks in advance,

Jonas

  [SOLVED] Usage of overlay driver
Posted by: adeeljsid - July-18th-2018, 12:29 PM - Forum: Software - Replies (4)

Is it possible to use overlay driver using current portainer version of netpi. Its not working for me. And this leads to my second question if we can initialize the netpi node as a swarm manager?
