I have been having issues with the Wifi. I have enabled the wifi in client mode and it is to receive the ip address and dns server automatically. As per viewed in the Control panel, the netpi has already receive the ip address and dns server but it still can't connect to the internet. The only way i could connect to the internet is when i share my laptop wifi to the ethernet port.
Also, i tried with a phone hotspot. The netpi is able to connect to the hotspot but unable to connect to the internet.
Any suggestion on what should i check?
I've updated the firmware to version V1.2.0.0.
Also, i'm located in Malaysia. Would that affect the device connection?

Cause a customer specifically asked for it find appended to this post netPI's official RED certification paper.
The radio equipment directive 2014/53/EU (RED) establishes a regulatory framework for placing radio equipment on the market. A device needs to comply to this spec in all cases when equipped with Wireless technology and needs to be sold in Europe (and some others countries too).
I'm using a net PI Core (Firmware 1.0200.1368) in a LAN with a modem. The net PI is used to send mails via modem.
The modem has the ip address 169.254.100.97. The net PI got following LAN settings.
I'm using the docker container "hilschernetpi/netpi-debian-stretch:latest" and the network type of this container ist set up as host. These settings lead to the following routing table.
It's possible to ping the gateway, in my case the modem. But I can't ping any address outside this network, e.g. 8.8.8.8. All other devices in my LAN can reach this address. Adding a static route has no effect.
I'm currently following this FAQ in order to update NetPIs frimware. It says I have to reboot it. How do I do that? Is it save to just pull the plug and put it back in again or do I have to do something else?
I currently have a Raspberry Pi 3 model B to develop software that will run on the NetPi. The Raspberry Pi 3 model B has a 64 bit processor but runs a 32 bit OS. The NetPi has the same processor as the Raspberry Pi, but a different OS.
1. Does the NetPi run a 32bit or 64bit Yocto Linux?
2. If it is a 64bit OS, I'd like to run a 64bit OS on the Raspberry Pi as well. What do you recommend?
With this recovery software release V1.2.0.0 we will be providing the following changes:
Preset 4 NTP time giving servers avoiding users from manually entering NTP servers (often forgotten) during initial commissioning
Update to portainer.io version 1.20.1
Update to Docker version 18.09.2
Forced disclaimer acceptance during initial admin password setup
New dialog "Routes" in Control Panel to setup IP network routing outside the context of containers
New dialog "Firewall" in Control Panel to select different firewall profiles
New dialog "Cellular" in Control Panel to configure optional cellular modems (future use)
As usual you find the software ready for your download in the download section here: https://www.netiot.com/netpi/industrial-raspberry-pi-3/. The same location applies for the documentation how to get your netPI updated in the section For Developers under FAQ.
