netPI access for remote PLC confign

Dear Armin,

One of our customer wants to configure the PLC from a remote location.
Can netPI  be used along with 2 containers - Codesys + open VPN connection?

Hello Madhumati,

how is the physical setup of your customers network?

For example if your customer uses an internet router with VPN support already then adding VPN to netPI makes absolutely no sense.

My router at home for example supports VPN server function. Once I login with my mobile phone to its embedded VPN server then I am able to reach my whole homenetwork from remote over my mobile phone or my noteboot from all over the world ... and also my netPI at home.

Yes Armin, we will suggest that solution to our customer, but

Customer specifically asked for the features as 4G/Wifi connectivity , router-IP filtering, forwarding , VPN tunneling-open VPN , remote PLC configuration/service all into single device/gateway

No this feature cannot be supported by netPI. netPI is not a router similar device. You will need an external device extra always.
